Our journey in designing the interior concept for the Base was marked by the unique challenges posed by our discerning client, who possessed a remarkably clear vision for specific areas within the project. It became evident that harmonizing their vision with our creative expertise was the key to a successful outcome. Amidst this intricate balancing act, nod studios took proactive measures by orchestrating collaborative workshops that facilitated an invaluable exchange of ideas between our team and the client. These workshops not only served as a platform for aligning our visions but also fostered an environment of mutual understanding and inspiration.

We juxtaposed these opulent elements with the contemporary allure of terrazzo and concrete details. This seamless fusion of contrasting elements transformed the restaurant into a harmonious symphony of old-world charm and modern flair.

The Restaurant

The client's desire for a touch of opulence led us to infuse the space with glamorous allure, manifested through opulent golden accents and sumptuous velvet seating that whispered of elegance and sophistication.

The Co-working space

In the realm of collaborative productivity, our design team embarked on a mission to manifest the client's aspirations within the co-working space. The client's vision for a touch of glam set the stage for a dazzling transformation, with lavish golden accents and plush velvet seating evoking an air of refined luxury. The co-working is a space of the harmonious union of opulence and modernity.

We mixed these glamorous nuances with the sleek lines of concrete, natural wood and industrial elements, ushering in a contemporary edge that resonated with modern sensibilities. Seamlessly woven into this dynamic tapestry was the integral integration of the company's corporate identity, a design feat that required a delicate balance to ensure a cohesive and authentic ambiance.

The community kitchens

Nestled thoughtfully within the building's embrace, the four distinctive community kitchens stand as flavorful tributes to the client's culinary passions: Japanese, Mexican, Caribbean, and Moroccan. Each kitchen has a unique identity, inviting residents on a journey across continents through a symphony of colors, textures, and materials. The Japanese kitchen, in red and black tones reminds of a Tokyo diner where neon lights mix with metal grids and darker tones. Vibrant and lively, the Mexican kitchen pulsates with bright colors tones and cheerful tiles, celebrating the vibrancy of street markets and fiestas.

The Caribbean kitchen is a vibrant mix of colors and materials, with soft greens and sun-kissed wood reminiscent of sandy shores and crystal waters. Meanwhile, the Moroccan kitchen envelopes visitors in the opulence intricate patterns, as ornate lanterns transport them to a bustling medina. Each of these culinary sanctuaries embodies the essence of its respective cuisine, painting a vivid picture of flavors, cultures, and experiences that come together to form a harmonious tapestry within the communal heart of the building.

The community spaces

An array of community spaces give the Base its character, each an embodiment of distinct flair and purpose. The cinema, a , boasts plush seating and obscure lights, inviting residents to lose themselves in the magic of film. The library, a cozy space with reading nooks and warm wooded shelves doesn’t take itself too seriously. In the playroom, vibrant hues and whimsical murals create a welcoming atmosphere .

Serenity finds its abode in the yoga and massage rooms, where muted tones and soothing textures envelop visitors in a cocoon of relaxation. The gym workshop pulses with dynamic energy, adorned in OSB accents and high-tech equipment. Finally, the laundry room, though utilitarian, dons a playful spirit, with bold patterns and vivid colors transforming the mundane into a vibrant choreography with disco balls making the space fun.

The rooms

There are three distinctive micro-apartment typologies, each a testament to efficient design. The one-person and double micro-apartments, though compact in size, ingeniously integrate all the essentials for a comfortable and self-contained stay.

For those seeking a transient experience, the short-stay rooms are a harmonious blend of convenience and opulence, showcase the allure of golden accents and velvet softness, invoking a dash of glam that echoes throughout the co-living community.
