Concept Phase for Headquarters, Munich 2015
While collaborationg with Kinzo, I had the chance of being involved in the Serviceplan project, where we were tasked with creating a concept for an office space that truly embodied the creative spirit of the company. Serviceplan's existing office configuration was hindering collaboration and lacked communal areas for employees to come together. To address this, we focused on designing a highly accessible workspace that encouraged cooperation and sustained teamwork both within teams and across different departments.
To create an environment that nurtured creativity, we opted for a raw and unfinished aesthetic by incorporating pale timber struts throughout the space. These wooden elements served multiple purposes, acting as dividers, acoustic panels, and even pin-boards.
They not only brought unity to the various areas but also provided a visually pleasing backdrop. Additionally, we introduced filling panels that served as display and acoustic elements, injecting vibrant color accents into the office and further enhancing the overall atmosphere.
A significant manifestation of the soft eccentricity that characterizes Serviceplan was brought to life in the communal area. This space, designed as a representation of the company's identity and a hub for collaboration.
The combination of raw elements and carefully selected soft textures, along with the playful shapes and soft hues, created a vibrant progression and inspired the creative process and encapsulated the sense of togetherness.
The workspaces are thoughtfully arranged in accordance with the designated "Corso" area, which serves as the central hub of the office. Along this corridor, a diverse range of spaces can be found, catering to various needs and functions.
From cozy diner-style setups and private phone booths for individual tasks to flexible conference rooms available in multiple configurations and sizes, the Corso ensures that employees have access to the appropriate environment for their specific work.
