St. Patrokli, DomBau Verein

Soest, 2013

The St. Patrokli Church in Soest, Germany, honored its history by holding a competition for housing St. Patrokli's remains. I submitted two designs. The first, a modern concrete structure with a copper box, held relics under an eternal flame, symbolizing St. Patrokli's spirit. The combination of industrial materials and a timeless flame aimed to create a visually striking and spiritually significant representation.

The second, a mobile structure of Corian, copper, and live moss, represented spiritual journey and faith evolution, with the live moss signifying life's eternal cycle. This design sought to bring a sense of organic vitality and natural serenity. The mobile structure allowed for gentle movement, symbolizing the spiritual journey and the continuous evolution of faith.
