By leveraging its integrated AI technology, leFlirt assists users in finding potential matches in various locations such as bars, parks, concerts and more, increasing the chances of meaningful encounters. With its intuitive interface and smart algorithms, leFlirt creates an exciting and dynamic platform where users can connect and forge genuine connections in the real world.
leFlirt utilizes AI as a wingmate to enhance real-life connections. Through its integrated AI, leFlirt analyzes user preferences, interests, and behaviors to provide personalized suggestions and conversation starters, acting as a supportive companion in social interactions. Why this Project?
After living 10 years in a vibrant and fast city such as Berlin, I recognized that genuine connections are not always easy to build and technology could play a key role in enhancing them. The project's allure lies in its potential to bring together innovation and emotional resonance – to create a project that not only leverages AI-powered features for compatibility and engagement but also nurtures real-life connections, spontaneity, and authenticity.

DESIGN APPROACH
To design the leFlirt dating app, I embraced the Double Diamond approach, a framework that promotes divergent and convergent thinking to achieve innovative solutions. Throughout the process, I maintained a user-centric approach, frequently gathering feedback, and iterating based on user insights. The Double Diamond allowed me to explore and discover ideas, streamline the design process, and create a dating app, that offers a delightful user experience and leverages AI to empower users in their pursuit of meaningful connections.

The users of the leFlirt dating app are individuals seeking genuine connections and meaningful relationships while embracing the convenience of modern technology. USER RESEARCH
Performing a Competitive Analysis was crucial for leFlirt's development. It helped understand competitors like Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid to gain valuable insights for improving leFlirt's user interface, matching algorithms, and features. This analysis helped identify areas for improvement, potential market niches, and unique features that can set leFlirt apart from its competitors.
Identifying Business Requirements for leFlirt as a result of the competitive analysis included prioritizing innovative features, such as AI-driven personalized matching, comprehensive user profiles, and inclusive design, to differentiate itself from competitors and attract a diverse user base.
User Surveys were essential in the Discovery phase to gather direct feedback from the target audience, shaping leFlirt's development to align with user expectations.
The Survey Results acted as a compass, guiding user-centric decisions and enhancing the overall user experience of leFlirt.
Next, User Interviews have provided a deeper understanding of user motivations and emotions, refining leFlirt's development to meet user desires and the User Research Analysis organized data into affinity maps to identify patterns and insights, leading to actionable tasks and key insights.

Lifestyle Alignment
The study showed that enhancing user engagement in the app could be achieved by integrating targeted features that understand matches' lifestyle preferences. These features would matter before, during, and after initial interactions, greatly enhancing the user experience.

Nina needs recommendations for places to visit and events that align with her interests. She needs conversational starters and icebreakers for meaningful interactions. Nina needs safe and reliable in-app interaction with potential matches.
OBJECTIVE
Help Nina find meaningful connections in Berlin that align with her hopeless romantic nature and love for art and culture.

THE SITE MAP
The Site Map of leFlirt played a pivotal role in the app's development and usability. It served as a blueprint, outlining the entire structure and hierarchy of the app. It helped in organizing content deriving from the user flows, and maintaining consistency.
DESIGN EVOLUTION
As the design progressed from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity prototype, the refinement of ideas became increasingly evident at each stage. Below, you can observe the design's transformation from lo-fi to hi-fi for a few of the crucial features.

USABILITY TESTING
The usability testing involved six participants, ranging in age from 35 to 49. This diverse group provided valuable insights into both the strengths and areas requiring improvement. Subsequently, a Usability Test Report was created to identify issues and insights, ultimately uncovering valuable possibility for improvement. A preview of some of the findings is presented below.
PREFERENCE TEST
The Preference Test was conducted with ten subjects and they had to choose between two options of different screens. The results are below.
