Headquarters, Magdeburg 2022-
As my last endeavor at nod studios, I was in the team that designed the interior design of the headquarters of AOK in Magdeburg. As the building was already planned I embarked on a captivating project that seamlessly merged creativity and functionality. Fueled by the dynamic atmosphere of the teams of AOK, the challenge was to give each team a dedicated space and to create an attractive and harmonious yet functional workplace where people would want to come back after the pandemic.
The Community Floor
The AOK office building stands as a vibrant hub of community engagement and professional dynamism. Its ground floor unfolds a welcoming realm for both employees and the neighborhood. Just beyond the open restaurant, an inviting outdoor space offers a breath of fresh air, adorned with greenery and seating. Fitness enthusiasts find solace in the well-equipped gym, fostering wellness within the workspace. The color palette and usage of natural materials and greenery represents AOK’s identity.
Meanwhile, the array of conference and workshop rooms cater to diverse gatherings, from strategic meetings to creative brainstorming sessions. The multifunctional space stands as a testament to adaptability, transforming to suit workshops, seminars, and community events. The AOK office building harmoniously interlaces productivity and community, a testament to the organization's commitment to fostering connections and growth.
The Office Floors
Every floor has been thoughtfully tailored to accommodate the unique needs of its resident teams. While the pervasive green color palette embodies the company's corporate identity and invokes a sense of tranquility throughout the workspace, the natural wood and greenery bring a sense of vitality.
In a delightful twist, sports themes seamlessly intertwine with the architectural narrative, a nod to the client's vision. From sleek basketball court-inspired meeting spaces for strategic thinking to soccer field-patterned collaborative areas for team huddles, the fusion of sports and professionalism enlivens the atmosphere.
